Taylor and Sean’s wedding day was simply bursting with emotion and family and friends overflowing with loving support and plenty of laughs. The two wed at Iowa Dream Wedding’s Chapel in Fort Madison with their reception following at Pzazz Event Center. Unique elements of their day included the heavy involvement of Sean’s adorable son, Cian, preceding Taylor down the aisle and acting as “little best man” as well as the bride including a photograph of her deceased father in her bouquet in a beautiful memorial. Taylor and Sean performed two unity events during their wedding ceremony and partook of communion before being announced husband and wife, leaving no dry eyes to be found. Taylor chose the perfect light blue and coral summer palette to compliment the lushness of the Iowan summer backdrop that we made sure to take full advantage of during their portrait time—which they absolutely killed, by the way. I had been dying to take photos of a bride and groom in or near a ripe cornfield for some time and Taylor and Sean made my Midwest fantasy come true and the results are exactly what I could have wished for, as you will see below. The two also allowed me to sneak them out of their party for some sunset portraits, which as I say, is worth it every time.
All in all, it was a beautiful day, but in so many different ways. It was a beautiful day physically: the sun was shining and it wasn’t too hot. It was also a beautiful day stylistically: everyone looked sharp and chic. It was a beautiful day logistically: we had plenty of time to get everything done, have fun and nothing actually went wrong. But above all and most importantly, Taylor and Sean’s day was beautiful emotionally. There was just so much love, quiet and assured excitement and genuine care throughout this day that it left me feeling awed and privileged to witness, let alone document. So here’s to Taylor and Sean!
