I find it hard to blog. Not because I don't want to share my images but I realize when I write, I get personal. And sometimes (okay all the time!) I am afraid to get too personal. If I'm writing about my couples, it's hard not to share my feelings about them and their wedding--and that's scary for me! But here I am, being brave, forcing myself haha. Lucky for me, my couples are honestly the best. Truly, I am so blessed with the kindest, babest couples of all time. And yes, I just made babe an adjective, YOU'RE WELCOME!
Christine and JT's wedding is one of my favorites I've ever done and lucky for me, it was back in my old stomping grounds in Northern California, where I'm originally from.
I knew Christine from high school and it was such a privilege to be contacted by her to shoot her wedding. She and JT have one of the most open, deep connections I've ever witnessed in a couple. They're not afraid to be goofy, be sad, be mushy. They are just as happy climbing fences together as they are dancing or having a migraine or hike hills with their crazy photographer at sunset. I just love people like that.
The two wed on the U3 Ranch, JT's family's legacy. It felt so special to photograph in and around a place that was and will continue to be so important to the groom and his family. Everywhere I looked, there were endless photo ops, from the 19th century barn on a picturesque hill to a cattle pasture, to the old farm house and then the fully operational barn where they had their reception complete with a hand-made dance floor and all the DIY eclectic details you can imagine. There was so much work, personality and love put into this day and it sounds lame, but it just felt great to be invited into it.
Congrats again to Mr. + Mrs Borba!
