SNOWY ENGAGEMENT SESSION IN IOWA
Y’all know I am a California girl. I don’t do cold. BUT one thing I do love about living in the great state of Iowa is the fact that we get all 4 seasons here—not just spring and warmer spring. ;) No matter how long I live in the Midwest, falling snow will always be so magical to me. It always amazes me how something so busy and quick can be so silent. The utter stillness of snow calms me—even though the chill is something I could skip!
Last year, Amber and I connected on the ole Instagram. She told me she and her fiancé were just living in Ames, Iowa for a time and wanted to do engagement photos there to incapsulate not only their love but their time living in Iowa. I was so excited to capture their love in the most Midwestern way possible—in the snow! We struggled for a long time trying to make a date work for all three of us but finally, as luck would have it, when I went to meet them in Ames for their session, the snow was falling thick and soft, making it so easy to run around, play in and overall just celebrate their love and the place they were living for a time!
And, you know I am A HUGE dog person so love it when my couples bring their fur babes and Amber and Vik made my day by bringing not one, but two of them! It was pretty dang chilly so for once, the dogs weren’t overheated as I worked which made them so docile for photos.
Thank you Amber and Vik for trusting my vision in these crazy Iowa seasons and congrats as you move on to the next step in your adventure! I'll romp around in the snow with you any old day of the week ❄️ ❄️ ❄️
Hello, World!
